Adobe Flash Player comes to an end, Adobe to support HTML5
A recent news from adobe states that they will no longer continue to develop flash software in the browser for new mobile configurations chipset, browser, OS version, etc. following the upcoming release of Flash Player 11.1. for Android and BlackBerry PlayBook
It will however, provide “critical bug fixes & security updates” for current android & playbook configurations. Company also stated that their future would be HTML5 and investment in Flash technology for use in mobile applications that would run on devices through its Adobe AIR platform. To access those applications, a user must first install Adobe’s AIR software.
Adding to it said that HTML5 is universally supported by all major browsers making it as the best solution for creating & deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms & this will allow them to increase their investment in HTML5 for advance gaming & premium videos. It will also invest in technology to produce Flash applications for desktop computers, including ones that render 3D graphics.
Here comes to an end of the war between Apple and Adobe systems where adobe was trying to bring up an good platform for his flash player to mobile sector from last 2 years. If had an review in history, we will come to know that the real industry support for Adobe’s Flash Player for mobile came to an end when Apple refused to adopt Flash.
